The show Prison Break is about a man who robs a bank in order to go to jail where his brother is held. Then, while he is there he knows everything about the prison so he plans to break his brother out. Then, once they escape, the brothers never face a task that they do not know how to overcome. It is almost as if they can see into the future and know exactly how to react to any event that occurs.

The witches chose to watch Prison Break because they always know what is happening and how things are going to turn out. They then are watching the show to get another perspective on how they could use their supernatural powers of knowledge to better suit the needs of others or themselves. The witches watching Prison Break reveals that even with all of their information, they do not always know how to use it. This is also seen in Macbeth when the witches tell Macbeth three different things to fear after the death of Banquo. They have all of the knowledge but they do not necessarily know how to articulate it into action. This helps us understand that although the witches have immense knowledge, they are not fully able to use it to the advantage of others around them.

It is important to know that the witches watch Prison Break because it shows their interest in improving their use to others and also that they want to know how to better use all of the knowledge.

The Flash:
The show is about a man named Barry Allen who is struck by a lightning bolt after a particle generator explosion and he gains super speed. He is then given the opportunity to help others with his gift by protecting his city from supernatural people who have powers such as speed, weather manipulation, and mutations. Barry is surrounded by people who help him get through all of the tough times and they team up to take the bad guys down.

The witches chose to watch The Flash because they want to help people. This show is about the good guys winning and always helping the city. This reveals that all the witches want to do is to help people, whether that is to help them reach their potential or to help them reach the goals. Also, the witches chose to watch The Flash because of the supernatural characters in the show, about all of the good guys get supernatural powers by the third season. The witches choice of The Flash helps people understand that all they want to do is help people.

It is important to know that the witches watch The Flash because it shows them all of the different ways they can use their supernatural powers to help others.

The Big Bang Theory
The Big Bang Theory is a show about a group of 4 science nerds who work at Cal Tech and are extremely smart. They have a hard time fitting in with others and are often portrayed speeding time in their apartment playing strange games that others are not interested in. The show depicts comedic interactions between the normal neighbor and the two main character nerds.

The witches watch The Big Bang Theory in order to help them understand how to evolve from being lonely to being able to integrate with the regular world. The witches feel as though they represent the nerds extremely well, they have large amounts of knowledge but their gifts separate them from society because everyone sees them as supernatural and do not want to be around them unless they need something. This reveals that the witches are very lonely and desire to be integrated into society instead of being used whenever it is convenient for everyone else.

It is important to know that the witches watch The Big Bang Theory because they feel marginalized in society and are only interacted with when something is needed of them.

Arrow
The show is about a man named Oliver who was marooned on an island and came out a warrior. He became a super hero in his city when he returned. He has many resources and takes down villain after villain, no matter how dangerous or how much the odds are stacked against him.

The witches watch this show because they are trying to understand what it is like to not have supernatural powers. They want to know how others overcome challenges when they can't see the answers from the future. This reveals that the witches don't know how normal people act on a day to day basis because they do not have supernatural abilities. This helps people understand that although the witches have supernatural powers and are very knowledgable, they are still trying to sympathize with those who are not as gifted.

It is important to know that the witches watch Arrow because they want to further understand the struggles of those without supernatural powers.

Power Corrupts

Shakespeare would agree with the quote “power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely”. This is seen in Macbeth when Macbeth kills Duncan for the crown. The monarchy has absolute power, so Shakespeare displays that power corrupts absolutely by explaining all of the people who could be seen as wanting to take the crow. He shows that both of his sons could have wanted to take the crown and Macbeth, so the Duncan’s sons had to flee because they knew others would think they killed him for the power. The limitless of corruption with absolute power is seen when Macbeth kills Banquo and attempts to kill Banquo’s son. Another way that absolute power corrupts absolutely is because there is no one with more power to call out the one who is corrupt, they can perform any act with no consequences so the corruption can be limitless.

I have seen that power corrupts in places such as government, sports, and the business world. Everyone always talks about how the government is corrupt, and one of the ways that they can be corrupt is by keeping each other in office. Since they do not have absolute power in the United States they are not corrupt absolutely. They can only be corrupt enough to maintain their position for their designated time allowed. Also, power corrupts in sports as well. This is seen in college sports when the coaches either pay their players or don’t require them to go to class. This is corruption because they want power to win games with the best athletes and it is most easily attainable by being corrupt and not following the rules. Finally, corruption due to power is also in the business world. I have seen in the news that Donald Trump donates to other people so they have to do whatever he says. This corruption for power is seen when Donald Trump made Hillary Clinton come to his marriage ceremony only because he donated money to her foundation.
